Edward Roderick

Edward Roderick has over 30 years experience in the logistics, food processing, building products, recruitment, railways, ports, ship building, ship broking, power generation, wines and spirits, cold stores and shipping and forwarding industries. Until the end of April 2007 he was the Senior Vice President of Global Logistics for Agility the logistics and forwarding company with sales of $6.5 billion and 29000 staff in 100 countries. Prior to joining Agility, he was the Group CEO of Christian Salvesen PLC, a major European logistics and food processing group with sales of $1.7 Billion, employing 14,000 staff, with 5500 trucks and operating in 200 locations across nine European countries.
During his long and distinguished career, Edward has worked across the EU, Eastern Europe, the USA, Middle East, China and Singapore. He has also been involved in Chairing UK Government committees and in 1999 wrote a report for the UK Government on integrated logistics and technology post 2020.
He received an Honorary Doctorate in Laws from De Montford University for work on business risk analysis in 2001and is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Logistics and a Companion of the Institute of Management.
He is currently living in Dubai as the Co-Chairman of Envestors MENA, the business angels group and a ‘serial investor’ in SMEs.

 

David Moleshead

David Moleshead has over 40 years of investment / international banking experience in UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, managing teams which have been market leaders and won numerous industry awards in the UK and overseas.
He began his career in Scotland with the Midland Bank Group and undertook several managerial roles including reporting directly to Group CEO.
In 1989, he became Managing Director with Banque Paribas, the French investment bank and had responsibility for specialised activities in Europe and then Asia & Pacific region, based initially in London and then Singapore. In 1998, he was appointed Regional Director and Territory Head for South Asia based in Delhi.
In 2000 David moved to Dubai as Managing Director, Debt Finance & Advisory, Middle East for HSBC. He retired from this role at the end of 2005 and was a senior adviser to HSBC until 2007.
He is now Vice Chairman of ACUMA, a wealth management company based in Dubai and is also Middle East adviser to a European software company . He has been appointed as a Globalscot by the first minister in Scotland to promote business activity for Scottish companies in the GCC.
He is an active angel investor and in this capacity has assisted several companies on an non-executive basis.

 

 

 

Yousef Hamza



Yousef Hamza was educated in Kuwait and the U.A.E, followed by a law degree from the University of Cardiff in the U.K.  Having interned with several multinational legal firms working on a portfolio of projects, he then worked for one of the top 3 local law firms with a 40 year history in Abu Dhabi for under a year, where he helped further develop Sukuk structures, assisted companies in gaining the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence.

Yousef now works as an associate for Envestors, assisting in legal, strategic and developmental aspects
